Dylan has recently re-established a working relationship with Peter and Patricia Hindle of Ashem Crafts. Peter has also been involved in adult education and has been a craft teacher in schools and colleges for over thirty five years. He has demonstrated the techniques of making a Shaker chair and run workshops at the Shaker Art of Craftsmanship Exhibition at the Barbican Art Gallery in London.

This will be the 10th year he has taken Shaker chair workshops in the USA and England. Dylan holds Peter in very high regard, having been taught by him at the Wensleydale school in the late 1960s. Dylan, with Peter’s encouragement, gained a place at the renowned Shoreditch College specialising in furniture making & silversmithing in the 1970s.

The result of this new synergy is the proposed running of a Shaker chairmaking workshop at The Greenwood Centre at Coalbrookdale, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
